Skagit Libraries Staff Training Day 2020 Roundup

On March 6th, all of the libraries in Skagit County closed for an All Staff Training Day. Congregating at La Conner’s Maple Hall, staff members attended informational sessions, played with VR technology, networked with each other, talked about the future of libraries in Skagit County, and listened to keynote speakers including surprise guest Nancy Pearl!

Amidst all of the fun, we learned a lot of really valuable skills and started thinking about some really neat ideas for programming and beyond, all in order to better serve our patrons. Keep your eyes peeled for great new things moving forward, including more collaborations with our library friends throughout the rest of the county!

We’d like to offer a huge thanks to the La Conner Regional Library and the staff at Maple Hall for hosting us, to the Anacortes, Mount Vernon, Burlington, and Central Skagit libraries for  learning along side us, and to Primary Source Seattle for helping make it all happen!

We can’t wait until the next one!
