New Item Alert: Discover Pass

Discover Pass

We’re now a library of THINGS!

We’ve joined the Check Out Washington program, and as such you can now check out a Discover Pass from us for one week (non-renewable)!

Using the Discover Pass gives one vehicle access to state parks, as well as some campgrounds and wildlife areas for free.

From the Discover Pass website:

“The Washington State Legislature and Governor created the Discover Pass in 2011 to offset steep reductions in general tax support for parks and other recreation lands and facilities operated by Washington State Parks, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) and the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

Today, when you buy the Discover Pass, you are helping to keep the state’s wonderful outdoor recreation sites open and accessible to the public.”

When using the library’s Discover Pass, you will be able to use it for one week. You cannot renew the Pass after your week is up.

Make sure you don’t lose it either – if you lose or damage it, it’s a $50 fine!

If you’d like to check out the Discover Pass, click on this link to pull up the record for it in our catalog and place it on hold. You can pick up the pass on our next curbside/walk-up service day.
