It may have been a cold night on Jan. 24th, but inside the library the competition was red-hot!
From 4pm to 7pm players gathered in the children’s room for board games, some of which were purchased from a grant we received from Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, with funding administered by the Washington State Library, a division of the Washington State Secretary of State.
We started the night with Connect Four, before moving on to Disney Trivial Pursuit, Hi-Ho Cherry-O, and then finally Skagit-Valley-opoly, a variation of Monopoly based right here in the Skagit Valley.
Family Game Night is planned to happen on the 4th Friday of every month from 4-7pm, and is fun for all ages! If you can’t make it at 4pm sharp, you can join the fun fashionably late by ringing the doorbell for staff to let you into the building. We hope to see you at the next game night on Feb. 28th – we’ll be focusing on digital gaming but if we have requests for other types of games we’ll happily “switch” up our plans!
