Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month Together

Join us for a vibrant and unforgettable celebration of Hispanic culture, tradition, and community! 🎉🌮

Date: 10-28-2023 Venue: Upper Skagit Library

Event Details:

2:00 pm: Cultural Showcases

  • Traditional Dances: Witness the mesmerizing performances of young and talented dancers from Mount Baker Middle School as they bring to life the rich tapestry of Hispanic dances.
  • Orgullo Oaxacaqueño Band Performance: Revel in the melodies and rhythms of the renowned Orgullo Oaxacaqueño band. Let their music transport you through the various regions of Hispanic heritage.
  • Tamales & More: Relish in the mouth-watering tamales, a traditional Hispanic delicacy, along with other delightful treats.
  • Fun Activities: We promise an afternoon filled with engaging activities, laughter, and memories to cherish.

3:00 pm: Workshop

  • Empowering Families: Taught by the inspirational Iris Carias from The Mount Vernon School District Migrant Education Program, this workshop is not to be missed. Dive deep into the intricacies of fostering unity, understanding, and growth in families. The session aims to provide tools and insights to empower every family member, ensuring a brighter and more cohesive future.
