We had so much fun at our first Upriver Young Authors Program workshop on the 6th!
Thanks so much to those of you who joined us on day one, even with such short notice, and a huge thanks to Nicola Pearson for leading the workshop and getting us excited for all of the storytelling possibilities ahead of us!
By now, I hope all of you teen young authors have chosen your topics and maybe have even begun writing! If you’re waiting until this Saturday’s Author Event with Rosiee Thor that’s okay, but you’ll want to get writing VERY SOON after that!
Forgot the prompts and you wanted to use one? Head on over to our UYAP website and all the info you need is there. Miss the first workshop but still want to join the program? Get on over to the website with you as well! You can still join, but you’ll have to make sure you make an appointment with me to catch up!
I’m super glad to see a LOT of sign-ups for the kids version of the program! I’m trying to put together the last bits of info you’ll need for your side of the program, so keep an eye out!
If you want to go ahead and start writing, don’t let me stop you! But, you’re absolutely fine if you want to wait until your first workshop on the 25th when you’ll be with your teen writing buddy!
Not sure what to write about? You can write about anything! But if you’re having a hard time choosing, feel free to look at the prompts the teens are using until I have the list of kid-specific prompts available!
